The Director, FIS Data Privacy will lead Ford’s Integrated Services Data Privacy team on behalf of our businesses, both Retail and Pro. In so doing, this individual will be an integral part of our community of leaders helping us to deliver innovation at speed while also raising the bar on customer privacy.
The FIS Data Privacy group is new at Ford. It is modeled after a shared functional and subject-matter expertise approach, such as that provided by our Finance and HR teams, but focused on the topic of Privacy. This group will serve as a critical central junction point bridging Legal, Business, Product, and Engineering, bringing these groups together to ideate, define, and project manage solutions that meet business needs, are technically feasible, can be contained on current roadmaps, and ensure compliance with the required Privacy standards.
This role leads the lean team of Data Privacy Managers assigned to specific businesses within FIS and in addition to that, will hold primary liaison responsibilities for FIS with all key Privacy stakeholders, including Office of General Counsel, Privacy; Privacy Product leadership; Enterprise Risk Management, and the Technical Privacy teams including the Privacy Software Engineering team inclusive of the necessary ongoing governance required to drive faster, more successful execution of desired business outcomes .
This is a first-at-Ford role which will necessitate a great degree of entrepreneurialism and relationship building.

- Lead a team that can sit with our Legal, Business, Product, and Engineering partners as intellectual leaders and trusted thought partners to enable the collaborative design of robust end-to-end privacy solutions for FIS products, including consent journeys and privacy mechanisms that maximize transparency and customer privacy, while still delivering the results needed by the business.
- Create a privacy-by-design culture whereby privacy is part of ongoing business-as-usual design and consideration rather than handled as a one-off compliance matter
- Collaborate with Business teams to anticipate their privacy needs and get ahead of them on the workplan.
- Own the strategy, its implementation, and, working in conjunction with the Office of General Counsel Privacy Office, ensure ongoing compliance with all privacy requirements globally inside FIS businesses including as key point for completing annual Privacy Reviews, as well as with Ford’s specific privacy commitments beyond those required by law.
- Step into rooms as the voice of Data Privacy for Integrated Services, providing expertise and consultation on all major privacy-related initiatives directly or through the team.

- Bachelor’s degree
- A minimum of 10 years’ experience with demonstrated increase in work complexity over time and greater impact across areas
- Prior experience managing a team of direct reports
- Prior experience in a large, matrixed organization
