Cultural Ambassador 

SUMMARY 

The Cultural Ambassador is responsible for providing guests with a warm and welcome environment. This individual will participate as a pro-active business partner that is responsible for supporting the company's goals, objectives, vision, mission, and values. 

Essential Function: 

• Responsible for all Hawaiian cultural activities & classes to include cultural programming, entertainment, and children activities. 

• Help create and manage the Resorts Calendar of cultural classes & activities 

• Assist in creating exhibits and/or crafts that celebrate the cultural and unique aspects of Kapalua Bay. 

• Assist with training for any activity department team members and volunteers. 

• Help with and organize fundraising and community activities to support the department. 

• Perform other duties as requested by management. 

Qualifications: 

• College Degree preferred. 

• Minimum of two years’ experience in a luxury hotel preferred. 

• Minimum of two years’ experience in customer service. 

• Demonstrated knowledge of Hawaiian Culture  

• Strong knowledge of MS Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook. 

• Excellent verbal and communication skills required  

• Enjoy interacting with people in a fast paced environment. 

• Excellent organizational and time management skills. 

• Must possess a positive attitude. 

• Must be willing to participate in a learning environment. 

• Must integrate company values throughout all interactions. 

• Must be able to quickly adapt to effectively using new software products. 

• Must be dependable and available to work within the resort on weekends, nights and/or holidays based on business demands. 

Physical requirements: 

Must be able to stand for extended periods of time approximately six hours. Must be able to bend, stoop, squat and stretch to fulfill tasks.
