Senior Software Engineer - Backend

Your mission

Your Role: 

• Be part of our frontier projects in small engineering teams (2–5 people), building MVPs and production-ready systems that leverage Python (Django or FastAPI), LLMs, and modern API architectures
• Design and maintain backends and digital solutions that integrate seamlessly with our LLM-first workflows
• Stay informed about the latest developments in the field and det the right tech stack and system architecture together with lead tech and product staff
• Guide and upskill fellow engineers on backend, cloud, and best practices to ensure top-quality products and smooth collaboration
• Continuously improve our backend ecosystem by introducing new tools, frameworks, and best practices—sharing your learnings within our tech community

Your profile

Educational & Professional Background

• University degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
• Comfortable with ambiguity and rapid changes common in early-stage product development, maintaining a drive to learn and experiment

Backend Engineering Expertise

• Deep knowledge in Python (Django or FastAPI) and a strong understanding of building, testing, and deploying APIs
• Familiarity with LLMs (Large Language Models), AI workflows, or other advanced data-driven solutions
• Ideally, you have experience with frontend technologies (React, Vue) and asynchronous processing frameworks such as message queues (RabbitMQ, Kafka, Celery). Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), containerization (Docker/Kubernetes), and DevOps pipelines (CI/CD, GitOps) is a strong plus.

Team & Communication

• Strong English communication skills, both written and verbal; German is a plus
• Ability to collaborate in interdisciplinary teams, bridging marketing, data, and tech perspectives to deliver impactful products
