JOB SCOPE:
The CCBHC Assistant Director is a multidimensional position that supports the CCBHC Director in providing oversight of the daily operations of the CCBHC, including supervision and assignment of staff, serving as liaison to agencies served by the Program, maintaining chart documentation systems, CCBHC policy and procedures manual and statistical data required by regulatory agencies. The Assistant Director is responsible for monitoring the delivery of all CCBHC services in a person-centered and integrated approach to achieve positive outcomes. The position requires supervisory experience in behavioral health programs providing psychiatric, substance use and support services to a diverse population across the lifespan, including the treatment of children and adolescents. The Assistant Director must have a collaborative and cooperative approach to working with external agencies and community organization leadership and staff to ensure the CCBHC meets all requirements for integrated care. The CCBHC Assistant Director should role model in their interactions with others for the delivery of care that is recovery-oriented, person-centered, culturally competent, inclusive, and welcoming of diversity. The CCBHC Assistant Director maintains on-call status for emergencies at all times.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
· Provide administrative support in the oversight and management of all CCBHC day-to-day operations.
· Provide direct clinical and administrative supervision to supervisory and support staff in the CCBHC.
· Manage and lead all crisis related services and activities.
· Assist with reviewing and assigning clinical caseloads.
· Ensure the CCBHC operates in compliance with all OMH part 599 and OASAS part 822 regulations and CCBHC guidelines to meet all contractual obligations.
· Develop, implement, and update CCBHC policies and procedures in accordance with both agency and regulatory standards.
· Assist in managing any consumer complaints or grievances.
· Review and analyze CCBHC performance data and utilize data to inform program improvements.
· Ensure all case records are accurate, comprehensive and up-to-date.
· Prepare, modify and maintain important shared documents (including data spreadsheets, reports).
· Create a strong sense of accountability with CCBHC supervisors for achieving strong clinical and billing outcomes.
· Monitor staff compliance regarding required CCBHC training and support resources.
· Serve as an active member of the Incident Review Committee, charged with ensuring that reporting procedures are accurate, timely and are monitored during monthly IRC meetings.
· Hire, train, and assist with retaining CCBHC staff.
· Utilized data to ensure program goals are met and to address trends.
· Function as PCMH liaison to sites/agencies served by the CCBHC
· Represent and promote CCBHC services in the community, community board meetings, business improvement district meetings, NYPD build-a-block meetings and others.
· Perform other duties and tasks as deemed necessary by CCBHC Director.
Qualifications
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
·
· LCSW from NYS Office of Professions.
· SIFI certification a plus.
· Experience working in an outpatient MH/SUD setting delivering services to children, adolescents and adults with behavioral health and substance use needs.
· Experience with DSM5-TR diagnoses including psychopharmacology, MATs, and evidence based-practices.
