Job Description

Visa’s Enterprise Transformation Office (ETO) is responsible for driving meaningful and sustainable change across many segments of Visa’s business. This internship offers an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated individual to gain valuable experience in project management, process improvement, and change leadership. As an intern, this individual will be a member of the Implementation and Change practice (I&C) and will report to the Director, Implementation & Change (Execution Readiness). This person will operate at the intersection of stakeholders from various functional organizations within Visa and Enterprise Transformation’s I&C team by delivering exceptional business and strategic initiatives and project delivery outcomes. This person will be a critical player in ensuring the Implementation and Change team executes with excellence.

The individual will also engage in two distinct projects:

  • Help spearhead the creation of Visa’s Implementation Playbook: This playbook will empower employees across Visa to lead and implement change with excellence.  You will be the quarterback for the project and will work closely with I&C team members and change experts to design and deliver this essential guide. Walk away at the end of the internship with insight into what it takes to successfully deliver change at scale.
  • Parachute into an active project to up-level accountability and transparency in Visa’s highly matrixed environment. Join forces with ETO leaders to define and implement the incorporation of Matrixed Managers into two key workflows: goal setting and promotions. Gain knowledge and expertise in Visa’s People workflows and systems and have a direct impact on enabling Visa to be bolder and move faster.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the team with analysis of data or information needed to inform business decisions. Includes, but not limited to, data collection from various sources and analysis, including conducting interviews to gather requirements, and interpretation and summarization of project related and industry information.

  • Directly participate in the development of implementation practice handbooks and best practices, including managing ongoing skill sharing across the team.
  • Participate in I&C and ETO’s team meetings and contribute to discussions.
  • Depending on interest and skill, may have the opportunity to coordinate the team’s change execution plan, preparing status reports as needed, and keeping track of action items, risks, and blockers, including managing the team’s Kanban board.
