Position Summary and description
GEICO is in the midst of an exciting transformation as a product and tech powered company. This is a unique opportunity to make an impact at a very large scale. The GEICO product team is seeking a dynamic and visionary product leader with technical breadth and depth to lead the payment product team. This is a Director of Payment Product management role with strategic responsibility for driving the product strategy and roadmap for the payment’s platform. This leader will work closely with partners in business, engineering, product, data science, and design to realize the vision for the payment organization.
Position Responsibilities
Lead the strategy, development, and optimization of GEICO’s payment acceptance products across channels.
Lead a team of product managers with at least 5 years of people management experience, fostering growth and cross-functional collaboration.
Identify and execute on opportunities to enhance authorization rates, reduce fraud, and streamline reconciliation and settlement. Oversee end-to-end payment acceptance, including card networks, ACH, and alternative payment methods.
Collaborate with internal teams to ensure scalable, secure, and cost-efficient payment infrastructure.
Build and maintain relationships with processors, gateways, acquirers, and payment vendors.
Stay ahead of emerging trends in payments technology, regulations, and customer expectations to inform product roadmap.
Qualifications
8 to 10 years of in-depth experience in payments with environments that operate at scale.
The product leader will have strong product management and team management skills and above all should be equally comfortable with details as well as broad vision and strategy.
Proven track record in managing cross-functional stakeholders across engineering, risk, compliance, finance, and operations.
Proven track record of innovating and leading successful platform and services products powered by data and ML.
Strong analytical and quantitative skills with the ability to use data and metrics to justify assumptions and develop business cases.
Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
Annual Salary
$153,750.00 - $256,250.00The above annual salary range is a general guideline. Multiple factors are taken into consideration to arrive at the final hourly rate/ annual salary to be offered to the selected candidate. Factors include, but are not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the role, the selected candidate’s work experience, education and training, the work location as well as market and business considerations.
