A Day In The Life


As the torchbearer of Hubbell’s HR vision, your day-to-day responsibilities will be dynamic and impactful:

 

  • Strategic Leadership: Direct comprehensive HR functions, crafting policies and strategies that enhance every phase of the employee lifecycle—from recruitment to retirement.
  • Culture and Engagement: Partner with top executives to fortify our company’s mission and values, ensuring they are woven into the fabric of our operations.
  • Compliance and Governance: Keep us ahead of the curve by monitoring legislative changes, ensuring compliance, and setting standards for best practices in HR.
  • Performance Mastery: Redesign and lead our performance management systems to foster high achievement and continuous development.
  • Conflict Resolution: Offer expert guidance on complex employee relations issues, maintaining our reputation as a fair and equitable workplace.
  • Diversity Champion: Propel our diversity and inclusion initiatives, celebrating and cultivating a richly diverse workforce.
  • Change Management: Be the HR lead during organizational transformations, smoothing transitions with strategic communication and engagement plans.
  • Team Leadership: Build and mentor a high-performing HR team driven by results and collaboration.

 

What will help you thrive in this role?


 

  • Educational Foundation: A Bachelor’s Degree in HR or related field is essential; a Master’s Degree is preferred.
  • Proven Experience: Bring at least 5-7 years of HR experience (preferably in manufacturing), with a strong background in employee relations and collective bargaining, preferably in a union environment.
  • Strategic Vision: With your extensive management experience, lead with foresight and innovative problem-solving.
  • Communication Skills: Your exceptional communication skills will bridge gaps and build strong networks.
  • Regulatory Knowledge: A robust understanding of employment laws and HR best practices will be crucial.
  • Tech-Savvy: Proficiency in modern HR software and systems will keep our processes streamlined and efficient.
  • Certifications: SHRM or PHR certifications will be a plus.
