Motion Specialist

This position will be responsible for working in a team environment to accelerate growth in the motion markets. The motion specialist primary function is to present offerings/solutions in front of small and large groups (internal and external).  They need to be comfortable in influencing our customers on the value of Rockwell Automation solutions versus the competition.  In conjunction with the motion specialist team lead, this role is responsible for driving Codale’s business strategy to accelerate, demonstrate enthusiasm for relationship building and partnerships across the organization at all levels. 

 

What You'll Do:

• Deep technical focus on controllers, motion, drives and their application to mechanical systems.  This includes motion application sizing using Motion Analyzer, system component selection of amplifiers, motes gearboxes, robotic arms and other equipment to provide complete solutions to our customers. 
• Have core competency for the current technology as it relates to the motion control products. 
• Able to identify and demonstrate technology solutions for customer applications. 
• Design software capabilities (i.e. SolidWorks). 
• Ability to speak with customers, demonstrating technical expertise while instilling confidence and credibility. 
• Strong presentation skills in group and individual environments. 
• Able to actively participate in distributor sales teaming efforts required to close named account opportunities. 
• Able to promote the value-add of the assigned products in competitive situations. 
• Willingness and desire to participate in ongoing training to maintain technical competency in motion control  and complimentary product areas.   
• Distill information from disparate data sources and the capability to tell the ‘story’ behind it, as well as recommendations for next steps. 
• Retain and convey a positive attitude in challenging circumstances. 
• Regularly overcome objections. 

What You'll Bring:

• Ability to manage multiple partner and customer relationships while achieving outcomes
• Ability to speak with customers, demonstrating technical expertise while instilling confidence and credibility
• Familiarity with electricity and electrical distribution
• Experience with Office 365 Suite
• High proficiency with Excel preferred
• Ability to grow and maintain relationships with any individual, irrespective of the background and type of personality
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Strong creativity and critical thinking abilities
• Ability to perform multiple tasks simultaneously
• Possess reliable problem-solving ability
