About the role

JOB DUTIES

Direct supervision and monitoring of performance of office managers for Meadville Physician Services (MPS) assigned locations.

Monitors revenues and expenses of assigned sites and overall department.

Ensures that information is relayed to all office managers in a timely manner including, but not limited to managed care issues, reimbursement information, new and revised policies, formulary changes, new and revised forms.

Follow up within 8 hours (e-mails –phone call etc. (no longer than next day). Holds themselves accountable for decisions and subsequent communication. “Manage up” the entire organization and team members at all times.

Investigates and follows-up on guest relations issues.

Holds weekly meetings with Adm. VP with monthly review of financials and departmental goals.

Follows chain of command.

Responsible for proper application of the billing process (beginning to end and weekly monitoring).

Responsible for office operations, flow and scheduling.

Responsible for meeting and/or exceeding practice (s) budget goals.

Responsible to meet the staffing budget and ensure adequate staffing, including FTE submission and meeting goals.

Responsible for capital equipment submission and follow-up within 7 days.

Responsible for credentialing status of providers and impact to operations.

Proactively manages new providers (evaluating capacity and other relevant needs etc.).

Performs other duties as assigned.

 MINIMUM EDUCATION, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED

Two or Four year degree from an accredited college in public health, healthcare related field, human resource or business/management, preferred.

High School diploma is required.

Medical Group Management Association membership and AMPCE certification strongly preferred.

Minimum of three years experience in medical, dental or optometry office practice management preferred.

Must be proficient in computer and Microsoft Office software use required.

Experience in practice management and EMR (Electronic Medical Record) software preferred.

 WORKING CONDITIONS

Generally, works in a well-lit, clean, temperature regulated office environment. May be required to be in various hospital departments and medical offices.
