As part of Roche Diagnostics Hungary, you’ll be a key player in maintaining and optimizing cutting-edge SWA (Serum Work Area) and IT-integrated diagnostic instruments in laboratories and hospitals across the Budapest and Central Hungary region.
The Opportunity
As a Field Service Engineer, you’ll be the technical expert ensuring life-saving Roche diagnostic equipment operates flawlessly across Hungary. Your strong IT navigation, service engineering and problem-solving skills will directly impact patient care as part of Roche's mission to advance healthcare.
Acting as a Primary Engineer - installing, troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining the assigned Roche diagnostic instruments (SWA focus) with end-to-end ownership and accountability.
Coordinating instrument installation with end-to-end ownership, including site preparation, technical requirements, system installation, test runs, reagent application, customer training, routine start support, and handover.
Ensuring operational excellence through preventive maintenance, upgrades, and real-time issue resolution.
Building strong customer relationships by advising on system optimization and delivering exceptional service.
Collaborating cross-functionally with sales, product managers, and lab teams to drive customer satisfaction.
Documenting cases in CRM systems and complying with Roche’s quality, compliance, and safety standards.
You’ll work autonomously while contributing to a high-performing team, with opportunities for professional growth and skill development.
Who You Are
We’re seeking a proactive problem-solver with:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (electrical, mechanical, or related field) or equivalent certification + valid Category B driver’s license.
Experience in implementing, servicing, maintaining, and troubleshooting laboratory devices, preferably in diagnostics or medical technology, with proven IT skills.
Healthcare industry experience, including system processes, governance, and lab/hospital operations.
Customer-focused mindset with a track record of building effective, long-term partnerships and excellent consulting and negotiation skills.
Fluent Hungarian & professional English (written/spoken).
