About the role

<p>We're seeking a skilled and passionate Platform Engineer with strong expertise in Azure and a solid software engineering background to join our growing Platform Engineering team. You’ll play a key role in designing, building, and evolving the core infrastructure and internal developer platform that empowers our engineering teams to build, deploy.  </p><p>This platform will heavily leverage Azure services—with Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) at its core for container orchestration—and will be built with a strong emphasis on automation, scalability, security, and performance. Your responsibilities will span both infrastructure and developer tooling, ensuring high availability and operational excellence while continuously enhancing the developer experience (DevX).This includes creating tools and automation for infrastructure provisioning, continuous integration and delivery, and application lifecycle management, all while leveraging the power of Azure services and adhering to GitOps principles for a secure SDLC. </p><p> If you're passionate about building elegant solutions to complex challenges and thrive in a collaborative environment, we want to hear from you.</p><p>National and international expected traveling time varies according to project/client and organizational needs: 0%-15% estimated.</p><p><strong>Requirements</strong></p><p><strong>The Expertise we are looking for :) </strong></p><ul><ul> <li>Strong foundation in <strong>software engineering </strong>principles and practices, with a focus on <strong>cloud-native</strong> development and deployment methodologies.</li> <li>Extensive experience with the<strong> Azure cloud platform,</strong> and <strong>Azure solution architecture and best practices,</strong> including knowledge of <strong>Azure services</strong> relevant to cloud software development, AKS, networking, storage, and other Azure services relevant to Kubernetes deployments.</li> </ul></ul><ul><ul> <li>Strong understanding of both <strong>infrastructure</strong> and software engineering principles, with a focus on cloud-native technologies and <strong>Kubernetes,</strong> including cluster administration, application deployment, networking, and security.</li> <li>Experience with <strong>open-source</strong> tools and technologies commonly used in Kubernetes environments, such as <strong>FluxCD, Kong, </strong>and<strong> Linkerd</strong>, and their integration with Azure.</li> <li>Experience with <strong>CI/CD </strong>pipelines and <strong>GitOps principles</strong>, ideally with experience in <strong>GitHub Actions</strong> or similar tools, and their integration with Azure Resource Manager and Kubernetes.</li> <li>Experience with <strong>software development lifecycle (SDLC)</strong> and agile methodologies, with a focus on secure development practices and continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD).</li> <li>Experience with <strong>Terraform</strong> and infrastructure-as-code principles, specifically for Azure and Kubernetes deployments.</li> <li>Proficiency in one or more <strong>programming languages (e.g., Go, C#, JS).</strong> </li> <li>Understanding of <strong>user experience (UX)</strong> and<strong> developer experience (DevX) principles</strong>, with a focus on designing and building user-friendly cloud-based tools and platforms.</li> <li>Strong understanding of <strong>security </strong>best practices and <strong>zero-trust principles</strong>, with knowledge of Azure and Kubernetes security features and best practices.</li> <li>Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills, with experience in troubleshooting and resolving issues in cloud-based applications.</li> <li>Ability to learn and adapt to new technologies quickly, particularly in the rapidly evolving cloud landscape.</li> <li>Strong communication and collaboration skills, with experience in working effectively with cross-functional teams in a cloud environment.</li> </ul></ul><p><strong>Benefits</strong></p><p><strong>The Things We Really Care About:</strong></p><ul> <li>Health Insurance, because health comes first</li> <li>Flexible working hours</li> <li>Open holidays, take the time you need for yourself</li> <li>Profit distribution for everyone</li> <li>Mindera Annual Trip, Sports, and sharing groups to connect and have fun!</li> <li>Training &amp; conferences, create your own training plan</li> <li>Child Care vouchers</li> </ul><p><strong>Other Good Things:</strong></p><ul> <li>Choose Laptop &amp; Peripherals that best suit your needs</li> <li>Hotspot with unlimited usage (PT), for work or Netflix ;)</li> <li>We have amazing offices in Porto, Aveiro, and Coimbra if you want to physically connect with minders.
