In the Process Risk and Controls Practice we frequently work as or alongside a client’s internal audit function, the chief risk officer or risk function, and various other members of management tasked with managing risk. Our advisors help our clients with identifying and prioritizing risk and leveraging process and controls to reduce risk exposure.
This role involves managing cross-functional teams, defining project scopes, budgets, and timelines, and ensuring the successful delivery of technology projects that align with the company's strategic goals.

Responsibilities
- Project Planning and Initiation: Define project objectives, scope, and success criteria. Develop comprehensive project plans, including timelines, resource allocation, and budgets.
- Project Execution and Monitoring: Oversee project execution, ensuring adherence to project plans and timelines. Monitor project milestones, quality, and performance, and take corrective actions when necessary. Communicate project status and updates to stakeholders regularly, Identify risks, issue related to the project and develop mitigation plans. Monitor project progress and proactive addresses challenges that may impact delivery. Escalate critical issues to senior management as needed Implement best practices and industry standards in project management.
- Vendor and Third-Party Management: Collaborate with vendors and third-party service providers, managing contracts, deliverables, and service level agreements. Ensure vendor performance aligns with project objectives and standards.
- Reporting and Documentation: Maintain accurate project documentation, including project plans, status reports, and meeting minutes. Provide regular and ad-hoc reports to senior management and stakeholders.
- Stakeholder Communication: Foster open and transparent communication with all project stakeholders. Manage stakeholder expectations and address concerns promptly.
- Team Leadership and Management: Assemble and lead cross-functional project teams, including technology specialists, analysts, and business stakeholders. Provide clear direction, set expectations, and foster a collaborative and motivated project team. Manage team dynamics, addressing issues and conflicts as they arise.
Position Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in information systems, business, accounting or related discipline
- Minimum 7 years of relevant experience within large technology transformation initiatives
- Minimum of 3 years recent experience applying project management skills within the financial services industry
- Experience leading technology project based work with milestones and workflow driven by objectives and defined timelines
- Experience in an agile software development environment working with IT partners to deliver solutions on demand;
- Demonstrated ability to effectively work and communicate with business analysts, user researchers, architects, and development teams on requirements, implementation approaches and solutions
- Proven track record of assessing the impact of new requirements, shifting priorities and resourcing on project delivery and timelines
- Strong understanding of financial services processes and regulations
- Proficiency in professional writing, spreadsheet, and presentation creation tools
- Job relevant certifications. PMP or other project management certifications preferred.
