As a Sr. Director PMO, Oracle Enterprise System, this role shall oversee Oracle Fusion implementation and integration projects. Candidate will possess extensive knowledge of Oracle Fusion applications and demonstrate strong cross-functional expertise (across Finance, SCM, HCM, Projects and EPM), enabling them to drive collaboration between business and technical teams. This role requires strategic thinking, exceptional communication skills, and a results-oriented approach to deliver projects on time and within budget. Role involves overseeing the entire project lifecycle, from planning and execution to monitoring and reporting.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Project Planning and Initiation:
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define project goals, objectives, scope, and success criteria for Oracle Fusion projects
- Develop comprehensive project plans, outlining tasks, timelines, resource requirements, and dependencies
- Identify and address potential risks and challenges during the project initiation phase
- Team Coordination and Management:
- Form project teams by selecting appropriate resources with the necessary skills and expertise
- Assign tasks to team members, establish clear roles and responsibilities, and provide ongoing guidance and support
- Foster a collaborative and productive team environment to maximize efficiency and innovation
- Oracle Fusion Expertise:
- Serve as the subject matter expert (SME) for Oracle Fusion applications, including modules such as Financials, HCM, SCM, Procurement, Project and EPM
- Demonstrate a deep understanding of Oracle Fusion applications, modules, and technologies
- Provide guidance and direction to team members on Oracle Fusion-related topics, ensuring optimal configuration and customization
- Experience in data migration from other ERP systems such as SAP ECC etc.
- Budget and Resource Management:
- Estimate project budgets, closely monitor expenses, and manage costs throughout the project lifecycle
- Optimize resource allocation to achieve project objectives efficiently
- Ensure that project activities align with budget constraints
- Scope and Change Management:
- Define and manage project scope, and establish change management processes to handle scope changes effectively
- Evaluate the impact of changes on project timelines, resources, and budget, and communicate these impacts to stakeholders
- Risk and Issue Management:
- Identify potential risks and issues that could impact project outcomes, and develop mitigation strategies and contingency plans
- Proactively address challenges to prevent delays and deviations from project goals
- Communication and Reporting:
- Maintain regular communication with stakeholders, providing updates on project status, progress, and any changes
- Prepare and present project status reports, highlighting accomplishments, challenges, and upcoming milestones
- Quality Assurance:
- Define quality standards and ensure that project deliverables meet these standards
- Conduct thorough testing and quality checks to validate the functionality and performance of Oracle Fusion applications
- Vendor Management:
- Collaborate with external vendors and consultants, ensuring they adhere to agreed-upon terms and timelines
- Evaluate vendor performance and resolve any issues that arise during the project
- Documentation and Knowledge Management:
- Maintain accurate project documentation, including project plans, requirements, test plans, and lessons learned
- Capture knowledge and best practices for future reference and continuous improvement
QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field (master’s degree preferred)
- Project management certification (PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent) is advantageous12+ years of experience in Oracle Fusion or ERP projects and 7+ years of expertise in project management, specifically with a focus on Oracle Fusion projects
