<p><strong>Senior Automotive Exterior Designer in a nutshell</strong></p><p>The position will be part of our Milan Aesthetic Research Center (MARC), one of Huawei Research Centers committed to enhancing the quality of Huawei products by creating a strong design ecosystem. As an Senior Automotive Designer at MARC, you will play an active role in the automotive design team, collaborating in a multidisciplinary and multicultural environment. You will work closely with experts in Product, User Experience, Brand, and Retail Design to shape the future of Huawei products and consumer experiences globally. The studio is located in Milan, Italy, one of Europe’s most dynamic and international cities.</p><p><strong>What will be your main responsibilities?</strong></p><ul> <li>Generate own automotive exterior design projects at MARC, actively participating in all stages of the process to create competitive and successful solutions.</li> <li>Manage small teams, in order to guarantee the best possible outcome of the project</li> <li>Enhance the quality of the existing design team, leveraging on the creativity and professionalism gained in the previous work experiences.</li> <li>Acquire a good relationship and trust with company’s management in presentations and reviews</li> <li>Apply comprehensive knowledge of the design activities, working from initial concepts through to production-ready designs, ensuring high-quality outcomes.</li> <li>Bring strong creative enthusiasm and attention to detail, focusing on refining design solutions and exploring innovative ideas.</li> <li>Collaborate with external design resources to enhance team capabilities and actively participate in joint projects and partnerships.</li> <li>Communicate and present design concepts effectively, both internally and externally, ensuring clear and consistent understanding.</li> <li>Develop a solid knowledge of the Chinese automotive market,</li> <li>Be available to travel to China or other project related locations a few times per year to present and support projects, conduct benchmarking, and engage with the HQ design team.</li> </ul><p></p><ul> </ul><p><strong>What are the skills required for this position?</strong></p><ul> <li>A Bachelor’s degree or higher in car design.</li> <li>At least 8 to 10 years of experience in exterior car design, gained within a top-level agency or an in-house design team.</li> <li>Proficiency in 2D/3D design techniques, including photo editing, modeling and rendering.</li> <li>Advanced skills in Blender software.</li> <li>Proven record of following up clay models, both in small or full scale.</li> <li>Interest and experience with AI tools to improve design quality and efficiency.</li> <li>A strong portfolio that demonstrates design solutions across different business sectors.</li> <li>Proven ability to handle small design teams, and willingness to take on leadership roles for specific tasks.</li> <li>Strong conceptual thinking and problem-solving abilities.</li> <li>Excellent written and verbal communication skills.</li> <li>Strong organizational skills, ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.</li> <li>A team player who can also work independently, with a positive and proactive attitude.</li> <li>Fluency in written and spoken English is required.</li> <li>Knowledge of the Chinese car market is a plus.</li> <li>Ability to work in a multicultural and international environment.</li> </ul><p><br/></p><ul> </ul><p><strong>What We Offer:</strong></p><p>We offer you an exciting professional career in one of the leading and fastest growing multinational technology companies, challenging work and a competitive salary package.
