About the role

Summary / Primary Role:
The position of Warehouse Supervisor will have the primary responsibility to supervise and lead team members through the daily activities in the warehouse to ensure smooth operations and efficient completion of projects.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

· Supervise warehouse staff and daily activities.
· Manage, evaluate, and report on warehouse productivity.
· Track and coordinate the receipt, storage, and timely delivery of goods and materials.
· Order supplies and maintain suitable inventory levels.
· Ensure Compliance with internal, externa, and client audit requirements.
· Check orders, bills, items received, inventory, and deliveries for accuracy.
· Maintain records, report relevant information, and prepare any necessary documentation.
· Ensure basic maintenance standards and compliance with health and safety regulations.
· Communicate company goals, safety practices, and deadlines to team.
· Motivate team members and assess performance.
· Provide help to management, including assistance with hiring and training, and keep management updated on team performance.
· Perform a daily inspection of the warehouse grounds.
· Coordinate and maintain fleets and equipment.
· Communicate and coordinate with other departments and customers.
· All other duties and projects assigned.
Safety Duties and Responsibilities:
· Ensure all warehouse operations comply with company safety policies and local regulations.
· Conduct regular safety checks and audits, ensuring all equipment (e.g., forklifts) is functioning properly and safely.
· Promote a safety-first culture, encouraging staff to report hazards and near-misses.
· Provide ongoing safety training and refresher courses for warehouse staff.
· Investigate and document any accidents or incidents, implementing corrective actions as needed.
· Ensure proper use of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) and safe material handling procedures.

Qualifications and Key Skills:
(The following are representative of the education, experience, knowledge, skills, or ability required for this position)
· Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field preferred.
· 3+ years of experience in shipping, inventory management, and warehouse operations.
· Ability to operate a forklift safely and efficiently, certification preferred.
· Experience using MRP systems.
· Knowledge of production planning and raw material requirements.
· Excellent communication skills. Bilingual (Spanish/English) preferred.
· Knowledge of logistics and transportation industry standards and regulations, preferred.
· Strong computer literacy required including Microsoft Office skills.
· Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
· Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound decisions under pressure.

Supervisory Responsibility:
This position has supervisory oversight of up to 8 employees.

Expected Hours of Work:
Employee must work a minimum of thirty (30) hours each week to maintain full-time status for benefits purposes, however the expectations of the position will require an average of forty (40) hours with overtime required as scheduled.
