Essential Functions:
- Perform basic Produce Pro functions
- Lead by setting a good example
- Perform Inventory Control when needed
- Set up the warehouse prior to when picking begins
- Assign, pick, and load outbound orders
- Make sure order selectors are picking in a safe workplace
- Treat all employees with respect and professionalism
- Understand the role of the swing shift and communicate between all departments as needed
- Walk pickers through a final clean up, making sure the warehouse is swept and clean, and all equipment is signed out and put away at the end of the shift
- Maintain a minimum of 100 cases per hour
- Load truck at an efficient rate
- Audit pick slots for quality issues
- Be an on-site trainer for pallet construction for new and established order selectors
- Assist the Assistant Supervisor and Supervisors in tasks as needed
Qualifications
Knowledge, skills, and abilities required:
- High school diploma or GED
- Minimum 6 months previous warehouse experience
- Self-starter, able to work efficiently with and without direct supervision
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Ability to multi-task and problem solve in a fast pace environment
- Good oral and written communication skills, including ability to speak, read and write in English in order to understand and process paperwork
- Ability to use and understand portable communications within a warehouse environment
- Ability to operate and monitor all equipment (forklifts, jacks, racks, flooring, trailers) responsibly
- Strong computer skills, preferably including good working knowledge of Produce Pro.
