Warehouse Lead - Swing shift

Essential Functions:

• Perform basic Produce Pro functions
• Lead by setting a good example
• Perform Inventory Control when needed
• Set up the warehouse prior to when picking begins
• Assign, pick, and load outbound orders
• Make sure order selectors are picking in a safe workplace
• Treat all employees with respect and professionalism
• Understand the role of the swing shift and communicate between all departments as needed
• Walk pickers through a final clean up, making sure the warehouse is swept and clean, and all equipment is signed out and put away at the end of the shift
• Maintain a minimum of 100 cases per hour
• Load truck at an efficient rate
• Audit pick slots for quality issues
• Be an on-site trainer for pallet construction for new and established order selectors 
• Assist the Assistant Supervisor and Supervisors in tasks as needed

Knowledge, skills, and abilities required:

• High school diploma or GED
• Minimum 6 months previous warehouse experience
• Self-starter, able to work efficiently with and without direct supervision
• Excellent problem-solving skills
• Ability to multi-task and problem solve in a fast pace environment
• Good oral and written communication skills, including ability to speak, read and write in English in order to understand and process paperwork
• Ability to use and understand portable communications within a warehouse environment
• Ability to operate and monitor all equipment (forklifts, jacks, racks, flooring, trailers) responsibly
• Strong computer skills, preferably including good working knowledge of Produce Pro.
