Reports to: Operations Manager

Location:  Zeeland, MI

This location is part of our Prepared Foods Division. 

 

As a Senior Production Manager, you can expect your day-to-day to include maintaining high production, quality, and yields while ensuring the safest working environment possible. This position requires an essential understanding and control of the production process, accurate record keeping, and general line maintenance and staffing. This position offers a unique opportunity to make a lasting impact by overseeing our production processes and ensuring they meet the highest industry standards. RESPONSIBILITIES 

Leadership and Team Building: 

  • Build and lead a high-performing team through effective hiring, training, and retention strategies. 

  • Provide counseling and support for personal and professional issues. 

  • Educate team members on benefits, compensations, and company policies. 

Operations Management: 

  • Guide the team in pre-shift stretches and rotate workstations throughout the shift. 

  • Ensure compliance with federal meat inspection and OSHA requirements. 

  • Maintain non-union program. 

  • Determine and recommend manpower needs. 

  • Oversee designated shift operations. 

  • Ensure all workstations are staffed before production starts. 

Quality and Compliance: 

  • Interpret and enforce company policies. 

  • Maintain records and reports accurately.
