About the role
Under the Division Director of Infant, Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, the IOP-PHP Clinical Director oversees the Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) and Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) for adolescents at Zuckerberg San Francisco General Hospital Division of Infant, Child and Adolescent Psychiatry (ICAP). This position, held by Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Licensed Staff Psychologist or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, will provide direct care, clinical leadership and oversight with program management ensuring high quality evidence-based care, adherence to best practices and compliance with regulatory standards in adolescent mental health intensive treatment. This position reports directly to the ICAP Division Director.
Required Qualifications
- Master's degree in Social Work (SW) or Master of Science (MS) or Master of Arts (MA) in Marriage and Family Therapy or Counseling Psychology or Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from an accredited university and minimum six years of experience with five in a lead/supervisory role or an equivalent combination of education and experience; and knowledge and abilities essential to the successful performance of the duties assigned to the position.
- Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Licensed Psychologist (in California)
- Demonstrated experience in behavioral health program management skills, with progressive expertise in the supervision of clinical staff and/or management of clinical programs. Knowledge of case management, utilization review, and discharge planning
- Demonstrated leadership, fiscal, and operations management skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with health care professionals, management and staff at all levels, and external agencies.
- Demonstrated knowledge of relevant regulatory requirements, as well as related legislative, accreditation, licensing and compliance environments.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and conflict-resolution skills for dealing with patients, families, advocates, and other health care personnel, as well as subordinate staff.
- Proficient in evidence-based practices and empirically supported treatments for adolescents and families/caregivers
- Computer proficiency in all relevant information systems, applications, and analysis tools.
Preferred Qualifications
- Fluent in oral and written Spanish
- Bilingual Certification- Spanish
- Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy Certified Therapist
- Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT)-Linehan Board Certification
- Modular Approach to Therapy for Children with Anxiety, Depression, Trauma, or Conduct Problems (MATCH-ADTC) certified
- Proficient in Epic electronic health record system and data management
- Experience with Medi-Cal and CalAIM changes.
License/Certifications
- Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Licensed Psychologist (in California)
