Pay: $15 an hour

Full-time and part-time positions available

Job title: Server Assistant

Reports to: Director of F&B

Job purpose

The Server Assistant supports the server by ensuring efficient table service and maintaining a clean, organized dining environment. In this role, you will contribute to delivering an exceptional and distinctive dining experience for our members and guests.

Duties and responsibilities

• Assist servers by clearing and resetting tables promptly and efficiently.
• Deliver food orders from the kitchen to guests with accuracy and professionalism.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization in the dining and service areas.
• Anticipate guests' needs by replenishing water, clearing used plates, and providing additional service support.
• Uphold the club’s high standards of hospitality, discretion, and member service.
• Communicate effectively with servers, kitchen staff, and management to ensure smooth operations.
• Handle service items with care and adhere to food safety and sanitation guidelines.
• Perform other duties as requested.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in a high-end restaurant, hotel, or private club preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Professional appearance and demeanor.
• Ability to lift and carry trays, stand for extended periods, and perform physical tasks related to service.
• Flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Working conditions

Work is primarily indoors with some outdoor exposure. Potential exposure to sharp and rapid equipment movement, sharp utensils, harmful chemicals and/or being exposed to flying golf balls.

Physical requirements

Good organizational and verbal skills. Ability to use logical and rational thinking to resolve issues. Ability to perform basic mathematical skills, monitor and develop subordinates, visually monitor the operation areas and write and read member communication.

 Must have the ability to perform moderate physical work and may be required to lift up to 50 lbs.and up to 30 lbs. frequently. Perform activities such as bending, kneeling, crouching, climbing, reaching, standing, pushing, lifting and grasping for up to 5 hours without sitting. Ability to consistently lift, carry and load equipment that may weigh 30 or more pounds, and sustain aerobic activity for 20 consecutive minutes.
