This leader will work with the Wind factories across North America, responsible for proposing, establishing and driving the Quality improvement programmes ensuring close alignment with business process owners. The role requires seasoned leadership and change management skills, deep domain knowledge of quality processes, problem solving and auditing as well as the ability to collaborate with and influence key decision makers.Job Description
Essential Responsibilities
As the Regional Manufacturing Quality Leader you will be responsible for:
- Deployment and assurance of global manufacturing standards across the factories in the region
- You will partner with the stakeholders across the business to identify, priorities and drive the improvements across the Wind factories in the Region.
- Using both qualitative and quantitative data to help define pipeline of targeted and impactful improvement programs to ensure we manufacture right first time, protecting customers from any potential escaping defects.
- Driving read across in the Region and between regions
- Provide coaching and leadership to the various improvement programs using Quality and Lean methodologies (DMAIC, SIPOC, Value Stream Map, etc)
- Lead and or support with complex problems solving
- Determine and drive audit programs in region factories to understand gaps and support to factories to improve quality maturity level
- Engage with customer in both ITO and OTR representing the regions factories to provide overview of our improvement programs providing confidence and ensuring VoC also fed back directly into the program.
- Building the quality culture in the region factories, supporting with focus events, communications and leveraging the "Quality Rules"
Qualifications/Requirements
- Education Requirement: Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university or college; or equivalent knowledge / experience.
- Professional Experience: Minimum of 8 years of experience in quality management, engineering quality, supplier quality or related roles within industrial/manufacturing.
- Methodological Expertise: Proven history using structured problem-solving tools (RCA, 8D).
- Standards Knowledge: Strong knowledge of ISO 9001 and audit management, quality tools, methodologies and improvement programs.
- Team Leadership: Independent, self-starter capable of influencing cross-functional, global teams.
Desired Characteristics
- Wind Power experience preferred
- Six Sigma Black Belt certification or equivalent knowledge / experience would be advantage.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work in a matrixed organization.
- Demonstrate a track record of leading cross functional teams.
- Strong oral and written communication skills with ability to influence.
- Excellent analytical and problem solving skills.
- Ability to cope with multiple complex situations daily.
