Sr. Internal Auditor

Works with limited direction and/or guidance, to execute the internal audit project in accordance with the approved audit program.  Provide appropriate guidance to other internal audit staff members assigned to the audit project, as directed by internal audit management.

Lead audit teams in the performance of audit projects.  Perform audits within established budgets, target dates, and quality standards.  Keeps manager informed of project status and results.

Prepares detailed audit work papers that are relevant, organized, support conclusions/results, and align with department/professional standards.

Conduct follow-up interviews and tests to ascertain whether agreed upon corrective measures from audit findings have been implemented.  Document results of the activity.

Assist in developing audit findings and recommendations for the audit report.  Prepare accurate and complete documentation that support audit findings.  Interact with auditable area manager or supervisor to assess accuracy of audit findings.

Provide information to and perform direct assistance for third party auditors.
