SCOR Reinsurance Company seeks VP, Regional Lines Manager Builders Risk in New York, NY, to manage, organize, supervise, and develop the US Builders Risks team based in New York, potentially Chicago and in Houston. Underwrite and manage some key accounts and projects in the region. Act as a technical practice, marketing and underwriting leader for SCOR Builders Risks in the United States and Canada for civil works, buildings, oil and gas, power and industrial projects. Drive the commercial activity for the region, in coordination with Regional Line Managers (RLMs) of other lines of business and Head or Region.

Act as a technical practice, marketing and underwriting leader for SCOR Builders Risks in the United States and Canada for civil works, buildings, oil and gas, power and industrial projects. Drive the commercial activity for the region, in coordination with Regional Line Managers (RLMs) of other lines of business and Head or Region. Responsible for design and execution of the underwriting plan for the region, including specific initiatives/business cases in coordination with the Global Head and Head of Region. Drive the implementation of the Specialty Insurance business plan, commercial strategy for Builders Risks in the region. Responsible for the Profit and Loss for Builders Risks in US underwriting Center.
Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Business Administration or a related field and eight (8) years of progressively responsible experience in the job offered or related occupation: utilizing builders risks experience; utilizing underwriting experience in construction segments including building, power, oil, and gas; utilizing experience handling experience US Builders Risk forms, London Manuscript forms and standard Market wide wordings; utilizing advanced data analytics tools utilizing software including MS Excel, Power BI and Tableau; and working with concepts including apply loss ratio, combined ratio, ultimate ratio to assess profitability of an insurance portfolio. 20% travel required nationally. Telecommuting and/or working from home may be permissible pursuant to company policies. When not telecommuting, must report to work site. Employer will accept a Master’s degree in one of the above listed fields in lieu of a Bachelor’s degree.
