About the role

   

The purpose of the Head of Patient Access role is to support Public Affair and External Relation to implement Patient Access Advisor Strategy. Manage and coordinate the activities of the Patient Access Advisor by implementing activities necessary to build, develop and maintain the best market access conditions for Novo Nordisk’s pharmaceutical products, both existing and newly launched. The Position

Reporting to the External Affairs Sr Director, you will create added value to business through a link between Regional and Local Patient Access & Market Access activities; develop and integrate cross functional competencies spreading Patient culture cross functionally. You will also support in producing reports and docs on Patient Access activities to align Local, Regional to National strategy.

 

Moreover, you will be:

  • Approving the Regional Market Access Plans made by the Patient Access Advisors and working together with Regional Sales Managers, Regional Medical Advisor, to ensure that the Regional Market Access Plans are an effective part of the Field Force Business Plan.
  • Coordinating, managing and supporting the Patient Access Advisors in all their activities, in order to guarantee, in each region, access to the market of Novo Nordisk’s pharmaceutical products, whether already on the market or newly introduced.
  • Presenting a detailed document (situational background, quantitative analyses and proposals) for any new regional tender where rebates on products are required. The document has to be realized in synergy with the Patient Access Advisors responsible for that region.
  • Representing the Company in the regions/ASLs/AOs flanking the Patient Access Advisors in tune with the company’s strategic policies and guidelines and working in synergy with the Field Force and the other company departments.
  • Monitoring and communicating to the Company the key regional facts, expressing evaluations on any possible risks and opportunities.

 

Qualifications

The ideal candidate is a strong stakeholder manager able to create and develop relations and projects with key regional stakeholders, in line with the company’s guidelines and strategies, to support/improve the reputation, trust, corporate brand perception of Novo Nordisk at regional level. Moreover, we’re searching for a person who has the following requirements:

  • Strong leadership skills and ability to set a clear direction.
  • Solid experience in people management
  • Knowledge on both Public Affairs and Market Access area within the Pharmaceutical Industry
  • Business level of English is considered a plus

The Department of External Affairs is based on distinct strategic areas: External Communications, Public Affairs, Pricing & Reimbursement & Tender, Patient Access (dedicated to regional access) Value & Access and External Communication. These teams have the objective of providing support and value to all company activities and functions.
