What you’ll do at Jamf:
The Senior UX Engineer leverages their deep understanding of front-end development, eagerness to get under the hood of UI, mentorship skills, and experience collaborating across products to drive the whole organization toward success.
Together with our team of Engineers, Designers, and Researchers they will help to delight and engage our users, while accelerating the design and development pipeline.
What you can expect to do in this role:
- Build high-quality, accessible user interface components using modern front-end technologies
- Mentor team members through code reviews and pair programming
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop new features and enhancements
- Ensure the performance, quality, scalability, security, and responsiveness of all components and features
- Communicate with stakeholders about outcomes, timelines, and issues
- Enhance the customer experience through user-centered design principles
- Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and drive innovations
- Work with design and engineering teams to ensure designs are implemented correctly
- Help define processes and best practices for building maintainable code libraries
- Work closely with partner teams to deliver components on time and with high quality
What we are looking for:
- Minimum 5 years experience with JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and Git (Required)
- Minimum 5 years experience designing and developing user interfaces (Required)
- Minimum 5 years experience with JavaScript frameworks such as React, Angular, Vue, and Web Components (Required)
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to translate between technical and non-technical language (Required)
- Ability to think critically, problem-solve, and adapt to new technologies quickly (Required)
- Minimum 3 years experience with component development tools like StorybookJS, testing libraries, Webpack, and Vite (Preferred)
- Rapid prototyping skills with various tools (Preferred)
- 4 year / Bachelors in Computer Science or related discipline (Required)
- A combination of relevant work experience and education may be considered.
- Familiarity with design systems and design tools like Sketch, Abstract or Figma
- Strategic thinking and problem solving skills
- Excellent communication skills and experience working collaboratively across departments and products
- Passion for improving software quality, aesthetics, performance, and reliability through engineering excellence
- Familiarity with component development tools and processes like Storybook, Testing Libraries, Webpack
- Knowledge of: Spring Framework, JPA and Hibernate, SQL, Tomcat, Git.
- Experience with native component development and React Native API integration
- Experience developing for UI component libraries
- Experience contributing to OSS libraries
