About This Role

In this role you will work with technology and business unit engineering to define the project portfolio and budgets as part of annual planning. You will track the technology project progress to schedule and cost metrics.  You will identify and evaluate initiatives to improve processes, tools and use them to increase productivity.  

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supports the development of project plans, annual planning and schedules
  • Facilitates reviews with the various functional organizations to ensure alignment with overall project objectives and budgets
  • Track project progress, identifies and resolves or communicates obstacles to minimize disruption to project schedules to ensure timely delivery of technology / project milestones
  • Engages with technology and business unit engineering teams to analyze data and processes and develops solutions or alternative methods of proceeding to optimize performance and productivity
  • Supports engineering transformation and continuous improvement initiatives, including evaluation and using new PPM tools

Required Qualifications:

  • BS in technical or engineering degree
  • 5 + years of experience in a technical role in a mechanical or electrical company

Preferred Qualifications:

  • MS in technical / engineering degree
  • 5 + years of experience in a technical role in a mechanical / electrical company 
  • Experience in maturing a project to technology readiness 5/6 or to product launch role in a HVAC, Refrigeration or mechanical / electrical industry
  • PPM tool experience for project planning, tracking progress and financials for electro-mechanical projects
  • PMP certification a plus
  • Demonstrated ability to drive progress of multiple technology projects, identify bottlenecks and reach resolution to deliver to schedule in a fast-paced and dynamic priorities environment
  • Effective organization, collaboration and communication skills to work with engineers and leadership to review and align on goals and deliver results
  • Results-oriented teammate with proven self-motivation skills
  • Experience using continuous improvement methodologies
  • Solid computer proficiency with MS Office tools: Outlook, Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint and other systems
