Medical Canvassing Specialist

This position is responsible for contacting medical facilities such as hospitals, clinics, and pharmacies. This individual will call on behalf of insurance providers and must conduct themselves in a professional manner. The goal of canvassing is to obtain information relevant to an open insurance claim/investigation. This individual will also be responsible for obtaining records from various medical facilities in an effort to document a claimant's full medical history.

A typical day for this position makes phone calls on behalf of insurance providers to medical facilities to ascertain dates of service, request medical records from facilities and documents information gathered in our client database into a detailed report.

The person most qualified will be well organized, has excellent time management skills and great interpersonal skills. The position requires MicroSoft product knowledge such as Word and Outlook.

Previous call center or medical (insurance) related experience preferred.
