About The Role:

The US Key Account Manager (hereafter KAM) will focus on unlocking new business for Dyson beauty products at the most prestigious salons across the United States.  The KAM will be the subject matter expert for the full range of Dyson Beauty products training and educating Salon Owners, Stylists, Dedicated to the Trade Store Managers and Personnel and the Field Sales teams of Premium Beauty Distributors.

MAIN ACCOUNTABILITIES AND SUPPORTING ACTIVITIES 

  • Execute salon growth strategy as directed by the General Manager (hereafter GM). 
  • This KAM will target the Top 200 Salons and Top 10 Beauty Education institutions in the United States.  
  • This KAM will manage the Beauty Distributors to unlock and fully penetrate the targeted salons across the country.
  • Build annual plans working with GM to achieve volume, revenue, and gross margin targets.
  • Build new salon accounts through direct transactions and sales through distributor.  Manage portfolio of new accounts when setup.   
  • Schedule meetings to demonstrate Dyson beauty products to targeted salon owners and stylist.
  • Train store managers and personnel on how to effectively demonstrate and merchandise Dyson beauty products for maximum revenue generation.
  • Connect with Beauty Distributor regional managers to present Dyson Beauty Products at Master Class events hosted by distributor partner.
  • At store level build relationships with key decision makers and influencers such Salon Owners, Stylists and Store managers.
  • Develop an in-depth understanding of customer needs and requirements to develop a customized value proposition and story. 
  • Adhere to pricing and discount policy set by GM and Senior Channel and Operations Manager.  
  • Be the primary point of contact for distributor partners and connect decisions makers with GM, Marketing Manager and Senior Channel and Operations Manager.
  • Proactively execute outbound activity to build pipeline of opportunities and meetings with target market.  
  • Upload new accounts, opportunities, and sample unit requests into Salesforce.com, to store customer data and keep track of work plan.  Keep Salesforce.com updated with all customer activity.  
  • Occasionally attend national trade shows as directed by GM and Marketing Team.  Be prepared to organize show attendance and ensure materials are onsite. Follow up with potential customers in timely manner.  
  • Attend LT meetings monthly or upon request by the GM to provide updates on target customers, account progression and challenges.  
  • Review monthly sales out data furnished by the Finance Team to validate sales from accounts and identify potential new target end customers.  
  • Achieve Sales Performance Goals and KPI’s established by the GM.
  • Ensure that monthly and annual goals are met across volume and net revenue, as established by the GM. 

SUPPORTING ACTIVITIES

  • Become a subject matter expert in the full range of Dyson Beauty products and technology.
  • Deliver Beauty training to the Store Managers, Store Personal, Distributor Field Sales team ensuring they can demo and deliver a first-class presentation of Dyson Beauty products.
  • Work individually or in Partnership with Distributor Field Sales Team to train stylists.
  • At the launch of new products be prepared to visit top salons to administer onsite training of staff.
  • Liaise with Marketing to produce materials used in conjunction with education sessions and ways of selling to drive advocacy.
  • Support Regional Sales Managers in education of soft selling skills, styling skills and core product information, while supporting the development and knowledge of Dyson Beauty products.
  • Interact regularly with Consumer National Beauty trainers to ensure best practices, education and training techniques are current.
  • Create a sales approach for stylists in store to take customers from a demonstration through to a sale.
  • Coordinate launches, ensuring tools are provided for the Distributor Field Team, being the subject matter expert in all new beauty products.
