Accounts Receivable Team Lead

About the role

What You will Do 

  • Oversee the multi-national, Accounts Receivable function through direct engagement with customers and internal resources
  • Continuously advance all aspects of the AR function to improve cash flow and reduce aged receivables
  • Collaborate with sales and other cross-functional teams in resolving customer questions, aging issues, and past due accounts
  • Identify, document, and resolve complex customer issues that may hinder timely collection
  • Updates management of AR aging, collections, and at-risk customers
  • Lead accurate cash application efforts for multi-currency entities
  • Document relevant customer collection notes within the GL subledger
  • Review customer accounts to ensure payments are properly applied and outstanding balances are researched and resolved
  • Report and analyze Accounts Receivable metrics to enable strategic decision-making
  • Maintain process documentation and desktop manuals, complete updates as needed
  • Supervise efforts to monitor and track the AR inbox
  • Adhere to and enforces company policies and procedures
  • Complete ad-hoc responsibilities as required
  • Assist with audits

Requirements: 

  • Accounts Receivable Supervisory (people leader) experience
  • Thorough knowledge of applicable accounts receivable/general ledger systems and procedures, financial chart of accounts and corporate procedures
  • Strong problem solving skills, basic accounting principles knowledge, documentation skills, research and resolution skills, data analysis and multi-tasking skills
  • Demonstrate professionalism when dealing with conflict, changing priorities and pressure situations
  • Strong MS Excel knowledge
  • Ability to build relationships with customers and internal departments
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment
  • Maintains a positive and respectful attitude
  • NetSuite ERP, Zuora, salesforce.com experience a plus
  • Prior B2B collections at mid-size or large SaaS/Technology company preferred
  • Regular and reliable attendance required
