Research and recommend technology to improve the current enterprise information technology systems in support of organization's strategic vision. Responsible for translating business requirements into specific systems, applications, data, or process designs for very large complex IT solutions and integrating architecture. Design, develop, and analyze overall architecture. Determine integrated hardware, software, and data architecture solutions that meet performance, scalability, reliability, and security needs. Lead on architectural governance and decisions related to product, technology, and system tradeoffs as part of a crossfunctional architecture decision group. Provide direction for design activities. As a principal engineer, recognized as a domain expert who influences and drives technical direction across Intel and industry. Develops and mentors other technical leaders, grows the community, acts as a change agent, and role models Intel values. Aligns organizational goals with technical vision, formulates technical strategy to deliver leadership solutions, and demonstrates a track record of relentless execution in bringing products and technologies to market.Qualifications:
This IT Principal Engineer position requires a combination of technical expertise, leadership, and strategic thinking. Here are the mandatory qualifications for this position: Technical Skills: Systems Architecture: Proficiency in designing and developing overall system architectures. This includes understanding hardware, software, and data components and how they interact. Enterprise Systems: Experience with large-scale enterprise systems, including knowledge of various technologies (e.g., databases, cloud services, networking, security). Software Development: Familiarity with software development methodologies, programming languages, and frameworks. Security: Knowledge of security best practices, risk assessment, and compliance. Scalability and Performance: Ability to design systems that can manage high loads and scale efficiently. Cloud Computing: Understanding of cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and their services. Data Architecture: Proficiency in data modeling, database design, and data integration. Leadership and Soft Skills: Strategic Thinking: Ability to align technical decisions with organizational goals and long-term vision. Communication: Excellent communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and executives. Mentoring and Coaching: Experience mentoring junior engineers and fostering a collaborative environment. Change Management: As a change agent, the ability to drive transformation and adapt to evolving technologies. Influence and Decision-Making: Capable of leading architectural governance and making informed decisions. Domain Expertise: Recognized as an expert in the field, with a deep understanding of industry trends and emerging technologies. Intellectual Curiosity and Continuous Learning: Industry Trends: Given the rapidly evolving technology landscape, a passion for staying up to date with industry trends and learning new skills is crucial and mandatory. Technical Depth: A comprehensive knowledge of collaboration solutions, client architecture, search technologies, Generative AI specialties, physical security solutions and the ability to tolerate ambiguity with continuously learning are essential. Education and Experience: Education: A bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field is required. A master's or Ph. D is preferred. Experience: Significant work experience, 8 to 15 years, in IT architecture and systems design is essential. You must have in-depth knowledge of the Microsoft Product Suite and understand licensing requirements. Industry Experience: A minimum of 8 years of industry experience in Microsoft Product Management and related disciplines.
