Job Description

Value Added Services Product Development (VAS PD) department aims to support Visa’s Global Product strategy of growing our business through product offerings that add value to the payments experience and to capitalize on emerging market opportunities in regional payment networks and digital wallets.

VAS PD team is responsible for architecture, design, and development of Visa's digital and mobile products, including Secure Remote Commerce, Visa Token Services, Push Payments, and Visa Digital Commerce App.

In this position, as Staff SW Test Engineer, you will be part of the Risk and Identity Solution Team contributing to test the backend development of B2C IAM to enable secure access to Visa digital solutions through all types of channels – web, mobile, and device.  You will be a key contributor to the innovations in the B2C Consumer and Device spaces. The position is based in Warsaw, Poland, in hybrid mode.

Key Responsibilities

• Working closely with engineering leads, engineers, product manager, architects and client support teams, lead product development throughout the entire development cycle. This role requires logical thinking, possesses a breadth of knowledge on applying technology, quick troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Consistently apply sound engineering practices leading to improved business outcomes.
• Mentor team members. Conducts project level design reviews and guides the team through adjustments if necessary.
• Work closely with product owners, architects, and product managers to drive and/or facilitate feature/user story grooming, functional and technical specifications, workflow designs, use cases and process re-engineering. Provide necessary solution architecture and design artifacts on time.
• Stay abreast of emerging technologies and proactively assess and evaluate the adoption thereof into the organization.
• Perform proof of concepts and other technical evaluations on new technologies, designs, and solutions.
• Be flexible to accommodate cross-region team development/collaboration and address urgent production issues.

This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications
5+ years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or at least 2 years of work experience with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 0 years of work experience with a PhD, OR 8+ years of relevant work experience.

Preferred Qualifications
6 or more years of work experience with a Bachelors Degree or 4 or more years of relevant experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or up to 3 years of relevant experience with a PhD

Key skill sets
Api testing using JAVA automation framework
Cypress UI automation (JS)
Api testing using PostMan
Neo4j Database experience is a plus

Experience:
• Expertise in API and UI functional, automation, performance and security testing along with familiarity of industry wide tools such as RestAssured, PostMan, Cypress,
• Expertise working on Java based automation framework, designing and building tools/utilities, test data management and improving overall testing effectiveness
• Expertise writing and executing detailed test plans, test design & test cases covering feature, integration, regression, certification, system level testing as well as release validation in production.
• Must have experience in debugging and troubleshooting in Linux/Unix/Container based application servers such as Tomcat, VertX, WebSphere, Docker, Kubernetes environments.
• Good to have experience setting up test setup and strategy in cloud infrastructure & technologies.
• Must have experience in a technical capacity of quality methodology/release process/testing techniques.
• Must have experience testing in an AGILE environment and should have exposure to testing environment migration, DB and infrast
