Senior Retirement Plan Services Representative

The pay range for this position is listed below. Our pay ranges are built to allow for candidates with various levels of skill and experience to be considered, as well as for room for growth and tenure achieved in a role over time. Typical new hire salary offers fall within the minimum to midpoint of a pay range for many candidates. Any offer extended to a candidate will be based upon their unique set of knowledge, skills, education, and experience as well as internal equity.

Pay Range:

$29.35 - $44.02

What You’ll Be DoingServes as a subject matter expert. Responsible for assisting Members/Participants with all retirement products including Individual Retirement Accounts, Deferred Compensation Plans (457), State Teachers Retirement System and 403b plans. Explains Members/Participants the coordination and benefits of retirement products specific to school employees. Assists management with coordination of workflow.
  • Responds promptly to complex or escalated Member/Participant telephone inquiries regarding any retirement products including but not limited to Individual Retirement Accounts, Deferred Compensation Plans, and 403(b), State Teachers Retirement System, Public Employees Retirement System, etc.
  • Maintains records and files, researches fees, tax statement problems and corrects appropriate tax forms. Handles complex and non-routine inquiries from branches/departments and Members/Participants, and performs necessary research to resolve issues.
  • Responds to telephone and written inquiries, researches problems, and provides information to requesting party. Handles the complex and non-routine inquiries by branches/ departments and Members/Participants.
  • Provides technical guidance to branch/departments and school districts on retirement products.
  • Process retirement account transfers, rollovers, trustee-to-trustee transfers, and distributions. Authorize 403(b)/457(b) salary reduction agreements, loans, distributions and exchanges
  • Responds to inquiries and requests from school district offices, Understands laws, IRS Rules and Regulations governing retirement plans.

  • Performs other duties as assigned
  • Complies with regulatory compliance and assigned training requirements including but not limited to BSA regulations corresponding to their specific job duties. Failure to do so may result in disciplinary and other employment related actions

    Qualifications

    • High School Diploma or GED required
    • 5-7 years of previous related experience required
    • NASD Series 6 license preferred
