The opportunity
Weekend Shift - Fri-Sun and every other Thurs 6pm-6:30am
This position is responsible for leading peers in the assignment and execution of daily activities, providing training and direction and performing the manufacturing of drug products through equipment set-up, operation, clean-up and maintenance in compliance with all regulatory requirements and company policies and procedures.
*Please be aware that there are 2 SLC locations. This position is for the East location.

How you’ll spend your day
All areas of responsibility listed below are essential to the satisfactory performance of this position by any incumbents with reasonable accommodation if necessary. Any non-essential functions are assumed to be included in other related duties or assignments.
- Responsible for ensuring the daily work and assignments to technicians are carried out based on manufacturing schedule and resources available including tools and supplies.
- Responsible for collecting and sharing pertinent information regarding manufacturing status and/or issues during shift start.
- Responsible for ensuring that performance visualization boards on production floor are completed correctly and potential issues are escalated through the appropriate processes.
- Responsible for working with maintenance to ensure scheduled preventive maintenance activities are completed in a timely manner.
- Responsible for providing on the job training and guidance to lower level technicians and may perform the responsibilities of lower technicians.
- Responsible for working with maintenance and/or engineering to troubleshoot complex production equipment issues.
- Responsible for signing off batch records, rooms, and equipment as required as a supervisor designee.
- Responsible for completing all training requirements and maintain compliance with all assignments.
- Responsible for maintaining work areas and performing job functions in a safe and efficient manner in accordance with company policies and procedures, Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP’s), Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s) and Batch Record instructions.
- May provide recommendations and/or assist in revising Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s) and/or Master Batch Records (MBR’s).
- May assist with Investigations and Corrective and Preventative Actions (CAPA’s).
- Responsible for performing additional related duties as assigned.
Your experience and qualifications
Any equivalent combination of education, training and/or experience that fulfills the requirements of the position will be considered.
Education/Certification/Experience:
- Requires High School Diploma or equivalent with a minimum of 5 years relevant experience, preferably in a related industry such as pharmaceutical, nutraceutical or food processing.
- Undergraduate coursework or Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
- Must be certified or able to certify under the company “Train-The-Trainer” program.
