Job Description Qualifications:

The Boeing Research & Technology (BR&T) Mission Systems & Autonomy (MS&A) software capability is seeking a Satellite Ground Software Engineer/Scrum Master (Mid-Level or Senior) in Huntington Beach, California or El Segundo, California.

The selected candidate will work with the BR&T Payload Products & Technologies (PP&T) product team focused on the concept, requirements, architecture, design and development of an advanced Electro-Optical/Infrared (EO/IR) sensor payloads.

Position Responsibilities:

• Perform the definition of software requirements, architectures, algorithms, interfaces, and designs for software systems

• Perform code development and integration of complex software components across numerous components and subsystems into a fully functional software system

• Collaborate with product owners, developers, and stakeholders to define project goals, scope, and deliverables

• Facilitate the Agile development process, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives

• Coach and mentor team members on Agile principles, practices, and methodologies

• Identify and remove any obstacles or impediments that may hinder the team's progress

• Monitor and track project progress, ensuring adherence to timelines and budgets

• Foster a culture of continuous improvement, encouraging team members to identify and implement process enhancements

• Perform software test procedures and environments, execute the tests and document results to ensure software system requirements are met

• Participate in program engagements and demonstrations with partners and customers on software capability, development, and integration into larger software architectures and environments

This position is hybrid. This means that the selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at one of the listed location options. This is at the hiring team’s discretion and could potentially change in the future.

This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Top Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

• Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry

• 2+ years of experience in a Scrum Master role

• 3+ years of experience in software development in a collaborative team environment using agile principles and a structured development process including code reviews and DevOps processes/tools

• Experience in programming languages such as C++, Java, Python, JavaScript

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

• Active Security Clearance

• 7 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience

• 7+ years of experience in programming languages such as C++, Java, Python, JavaScript

• Experience leading software engineers through execution of software development projects on
