About the role

Electromechanical Team Leader (Automation / Conveyors) Location: UK-wide (project-based – Corby & Kettering hubs) Salary: £26–£28 per hour (circa £60,000–£75,000+ depending on hours) Type: Permanent Overview We are seeking an experienced Electromechanical Team Leader to oversee the installation, maintenance, and commissioning of automation and conveyor systems across UK-based projects. This is a hands-on leadership role, requiring strong technical knowledge and the ability to manage teams effectively on-site while maintaining high standards of safety and quality. Key Responsibilities Lead installation and assembly of automation systems including conveyors, control panels, and cable infrastructure Supervise, guide and support site teams and subcontractors Ensure all work is carried out in line with technical drawings, specifications, and safety standards Manage site activities, materials, and resource allocation Support testing, commissioning, and system handover Act as the main on-site contact for clients and report progress to the Project Manager Maintain full compliance with health and safety procedures, including toolbox talks and site documentation Requirements Proven experience leading electrical or automation installations (conveyors, ASRS or similar) Strong understanding of technical drawings and project documentation SSSTS or SMSTS certification ECS or CSCS card (essential) Electrical or Mechanical qualification Full UK driving licence Willingness to travel and work on projects across the UK What’s on Offer £26–£28 per hour (depending on experience) Circa 220 hours per month available Accommodation provided where applicable Long-term, stable employment with ongoing UK projects Opportunity to work on large-scale automation installations Supportive and collaborative working environment Additional Information Project-based role with travel across the UK Rotation-style working pattern depending on project requirements Candidates must have the right to work in the UK – sponsorship is not available
