About the role

The Role: 

Moderna is seeking an Associate Director of Marketing Operations to join the US Commercial team. In this role, you will enhance the coordination and efficiency of our marketing function within the Respiratory Marketing team. Your responsibilities will be crucial in integrating various aspects of marketing operations, fulfillment, technology, and project management. You will optimize processes to ensure our marketing efforts are effective and reflect the innovation and agility that Moderna embodies. Additionally, you will guide high-impact projects and initiatives, providing strategic direction and operational excellence while collaborating with global teams.

Here’s What You’ll Do:

  • Operational Leadership: Provide leadership and direction for marketing operations, ensuring alignment with Moderna's overall business objectives and strategic goals.

  • Process Optimization: Guide the US Marketing promotional review committee, collaborating with key cross-functional and global stakeholders to optimize processes that meet the commercial organization's compliance and efficiency needs.

  • Content Lifecycle Management: Oversee the print and digital content lifecycle, including the implementation of fulfillment portal systems, creation of process documentation, and development of training materials, ensuring alignment with compliance requirements.

  • Capacity Planning: Manage team capacity planning to anticipate and meet the demands of the business, specifying tools or methodologies used for capacity planning.

  • Event Coordination: Plan and execute high-profile meetings and events to ensure alignment with Moderna's strategic goals.

  • Operational Excellence: Manage the generation of MSAs, SOWs and Pos to ensure a smooth operational workflow.

  • Budget Management: Monitor marketing expenditures to keep projects within budget, providing strategic insights for cost optimization, and collaborate with global teams as necessary.

  • Stakeholder Management: Act as the key point of contact with US Commercial Account Management Operations, ensuring seamless communication and collaboration with primary stakeholders.

  • Operational Oversight: Oversee the day-to-day operations of the US marketing organization, ensuring strategic and operational objectives are achieved.

  • Additional Duties: Adapt to the dynamic needs of the organization by performing additional duties as assigned, including collaboration with global priorities.

Here’s What You’ll Need (Minimum Qualifications):

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or related field

  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in the biotech or pharmaceutical industry, with at least 5 years in marketing operations and/or project management roles.

  • Proven experience in strategic planning, budget management, and operational execution.

  • Knowledge of the regulatory and compliance requirements in the Biopharma industry, especially as it pertains to marketing and advertising.

  • Experience working with global teams and managing cross-functional projects.
