About the Role
The Manager of Organizational Development is a senior member of the People Team and serves to influence organizational effectiveness by leading as a designer and key program manager in initiatives and projects related to employee engagement, leadership development, performance management, goal and process alignment, change management, and organizational diagnostics.
The successful incumbent has a track record of actively searching, creatively designing, and implementing effective methods to educate, enhance performance, and recognize high-performing teams. Your work at Outdoorsy:
- Monitor, understand, and respond to employee sentiment and feedback, organizational trends, and business needs to ensure OD programs address critical needs and reinforce business priorities to align with the Outdoorsy culture
- Conduct analysis and provide data-based insights and recommendations, shed light on the employee experience and iterate relevant programs to maximize the impact
- Develop and facilitate creative, values-based OD interventions, including team building, group facilitation, improvement efforts, change management, department restructuring, and performance management, as indicated by the needs of the group, department, or organization
- Lead the organizational performance management and employee engagement strategies, designing, implementing, measuring, and revising related programs
- Develop and lead DEIB programming to create an inclusive work environment for all employees
- Create and lead the execution of the roadmap for the evolution of the learning experience at Outdoorsy
- Contribute to Outdoorsy’s vision and strategy for creating excellent customer and employee experiences through skill development, education, and inspiration.
- Own the talent, performance, and learning modules of our HR technology
- Collaborate with the broader People team to execute key, company-wide initiatives

Experience and Education:
- Bachelor's degree in business, HR, or a related field preferred
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in talent management, with a focus on program design and implementation
- Proven experience in defining the roadmap for a team or function
- Demonstrated track record of driving for results and successfully leading complex projects
- Demonstrated ability to lead change
Benefits
The salary range for this role is $90,000 - $110,000 USD.
This is a hybrid role requiring the ability to work in office at our Austin, TX headquarters.
We continue to have our home and headquarters in Austin, Texas, but we have embraced a distributed model of working to reach the best talent in the United States and globally. While some roles may require proximity to our Austin office, roles based outside of our Austin office can sit in any of the following 21 US states: AR, AZ, CA, CO, FL, GA, IL, IN, MN, MO, MT, NV, OH, OK, SD, TN, TX, UT, VA, WA, and WV.
