About the role

ROLE SUMMARY

The Policy, Compliance and Supplier Lifecycle Management (SLM) lead role is responsible for Global S2P policies, S2P specific SOX Compliance, Net Zero, Third Party Risk Management (TPRM), and driving Pfizer’s Supplier Diversity programs.

This role will report into the Enterprise Indirects Sourcing Global Lead.  This role is accountable for all aspects of Procurement Policy and Program strategy to global execution related to the program areas noted above. 

This role is a critical role that is both internal and external facing. This leader will be responsible for developing the strategic vision for building these capabilities and programs, while having responsibility for the executional excellence and risk mitigation of these highly visible programs that directly tie into Pfizer’s overall strategy and ambitions. 

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

Policy

  • Sets the strategy and vision for these capabilities and is responsible for promoting, advocating and championing these programs (e.g. supplier diversity) internally and externally
  • Owns and is accountable of all S2P policies (e.g. CP102), SOPs, and compliance programs
  • Champions and monitors adherence to S2P policies
  • Oversees policy training delivery

Compliance

  • Responsible for the execution and compliance to S2P SOX controls and coordinates closely with RM&C to validate compliance
  • Provides regular updates to S2P leadership on S2P SOX compliance and coordinates with other S2P leadership to understand the impact to controls based on process and / or technology changes
  • Manage and support internal audits for financial/operational risk and own compliance reporting (work with external auditors)
  • Oversees compliance training

Supplier Lifecycle Management (SLM)

  • Designs and implements enterprise-wide third-party risk management capabilities, including programs that encourage Pfizer colleagues to understand, mitigate, and manage risks and programs that specifically monitor supply assurance for critical direct materials
  • Supports third party risk management reporting and analysis to proactively identify and mitigate risks
  • Activates and leads supplier engagement as part of Pfizer’s Net Zero by 2040 ambition
  • Leads Pfizer’s Supplier Diversity program, including Pfizer’s sub-contracting plan for the U.S. Federal Government’s Small Business Administration. 
  • Oversees supplier engagement, development and innovation program

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum of bachelor’s degree in business administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related discipline
  • Senior Leader influencing and communication experience
  • 15+ years in a Source to Pay capacity
  • Prior experience in a highly regulated industry
  • Ability to collaborate with and influence cross-functional leaders and internal and external parties
  • Knowledge of third-party risk management and Environmental, Social, Governance (ESG) principles
  • English language fluency

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS/ EXPERIENCE

  • MBA or master’s degree in, Procurement, Strategic Sourcing, Supply Chain Management or related field is a plus
  • Previous experience in a leadership or managerial role, preferably overseeing compliance, policy development, sustainability initiatives, supplier diversity, or third-party risk management

NON-STANDARD WORK SCHEDULE, TRAVEL OR ENVIRONMENT REQUIREMENTS

  • Up to 20% travel; Global role requiring infrequent non-routine work hour meetings
  • Hybrid role with a minimum of 2.5 days/week at a Pfizer designated facility

The annual base salary for this position ranges from $191,300.00 to $318,800.00.* In addition, this position is eligible for participation in Pfizer’s Global Performance Plan with a bonus target of 22.5% of the base salary and eligibility to participate in our share based long term incentive program.
