Core Functions:
The Social Media Content Specialist creates and distributes platform-native content across Buccaneers social channels with a dual focus: energizing our core Krewe and deepening engagement with next-gen audiences—especially women, youth, and Latino communities.

• Develop and execute content strategies across social channels that advance the Buccaneers’ brand mission as the cultural flag-bearers for Tampa Bay.
• Create vertical-first video and mobile-optimized content for emerging platforms (TikTok, Reels, Shorts, Spotlight), staying ahead of platform updates and trends.
• Lead content strategy and publishing for ancillary social accounts (e.g. Team Store, community initiatives), ensuring voice and tone align with brand standards.
• Ideate and pitch trend-driven concepts and culturally resonant storylines that connect with diverse audiences.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with the Digital, Marketing, and Creative teams to develop content and submit requests for tentpole campaigns, events, and initiatives.
• Monitor performance analytics to evolve content approach and share actionable insights with internal stakeholders.

Skills & Abilities
• Proven time management skills to coordinate working in and out of office, handle short deadlines and thoroughly complete all tasks
• Detail-oriented with ability to manage multiple projects at once, must be proactive, organized, efficient, accountable and enthusiastic
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
• The ability to work as part of a team while executing projects independently
• Versatile interpersonal skills and professionalism to work with multiple work environments and departments, including interaction with players
• A creative thinker with strong writing skills and the ability to take an idea and see it through from concept to execution

Experience & Education:
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university or commensurate work experience
• 2-4 years managing digital channels for a brand, preferably within sports
• Expert-level fluency across all major social media platforms (TikTok, Instagram, YouTube Shorts, X, Facebook, Threads, Snapchat), with a pulse on emerging trends
• Deep knowledge of Reels/Shorts/TikTok style content and editing
• Expertise with Adobe Creative Suite and CapCut, or similar

Working Conditions:
• Must be willing to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Exposure to various weather conditions during outdoor patrols.
• May be required to work all home games.
• May have to work occasional holidays.
• Fast-paced work environment with a need to execute work on short deadlines.
• Sitting, standing, walking and working with hands for extended periods of time.
• Lifting more than 20 pounds may be required.
