About the role

Assist with electrical engineering in the design, development, testing and production of a wide variety of projects in the field of medical devices under the guidance of a mentor. Works as part of a multidisciplinary product development engineering team. This role includes collaborating with development, process, manufacturing, and quality engineering.

  • Setup and operate various types of test equipment.
  • Identify quality issues related to electronics.
  • Create systems based on microprocessors, including electronic hardware, software, and analog and digital input/output circuits.
  • Prepare layouts, detailed drawings, and schematics for products or systems.
  • Assist in the construction of prototypes.
  • Assist in verifying the design of new products.
  • Troubleshoot systems, hardware, and software individually or as part of a team.
  • Offer solutions to complex engineering problems associated with medical devices.
  • Develop professional skills in a dynamic operations environment.
  • Produce work products such as Engineering Study reports or other quality documentation.
  • Perform other assigned duties as directed by management.

 

Requirements

  • Pursuing a degree in Electrical, Software, Computer, or related engineering discipline.

OTHER SKILLS REQUIRED:

  • Strong analytical abilities
  • Effective communication through strong verbal and written skills
  • Previous Co-op or internship experience within a medical device company is desirable
  • Operates with high integrity and trust
  • Combination of working in a lab environment and desk work
