What you'll do...
The Global Marketplace and eCommerce Compliance team within Walmart is responsible for defining, enforcing and promoting policies, programs and products to ensure safe transactions and create trust perception across our online and marketplace businesses.
This Sr. Analyst position is responsible for reviewing internal and external item reports, analyzing item data and helping to develop and enhance processes related to enforcement of policies. This role will partner with various teams including Compliance, Policy Governance, Merchant and Retail teams, Operations, Corporate Affairs and Product.
An ideal candidate is highly customer focused and is a detail-oriented, self-starter. We are looking for a cross-functional, team player to support and assist in item risk management that operates with a sense of urgency, is comfortable working in a dynamic online environment with shifting business needs and changing requirements.
Job Description
- Monitor site and ensure item compliance with established polices, rules and guidelines
- Triage items and listings, this includes escalating items or rule issues, taking action on products, or providing feedback to improve or enhance rules, tools or processes
- Review and investigate item reports for gaps, trends or developing risks, this may include analysis of internal item data reports or cases, reviewing other sites or news for item trends, or working on annotations with machine learning models
- Analyze and audit rules to support Business and Compliance policies, this will include working on rule logic to enforce site policies, identifying gaps and areas for rule enhancements and optimization, troubleshooting and analyzing data to identify the root cause of an issue, or analyzing results in order to measure effectiveness of rules.
- Support in process documentation, report generation, or coordinating implementation of new item risk initiatives, processes or workflows
Minimum qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree and/or 3+ years of related work experience in Compliance, Trust & Safety, risk management, operations, or Legal
- Excel and data analysis experience
- Strong attention to detail, problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
- High degree of initiative and deadline-driven productivity
- Experience working with partners and teammates across different time zones and cultures
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with eCommerce, retail, compliance/legal ops, risk management, or content review/moderation
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with people at a variety of levels
- Resourceful and intellectually curious mentality, not afraid to dig into issues or projects
- Experience with tools such as JIRA, Confluence, ServiceNow and Salesforce
- Familiar and comfortable working in gray areas or dealing with offensive content
- Pop culture, trivia or word nerd, or avid online shopper a plus
