Summary
The Facilities Engineer II (FE-II) Provides direct/indirect oversight and support to all areas of Facilities Maintenance and Repair within the Weisiger Group Portfolio. Such areas may include minor building repair, painting, plumbing, carpentry, HVAC troubleshooting and repair, light electrical, Project Management and other areas which are characteristic of general building services.
Reporting to the Sr. Manager – Facilities & Real Estate Management, the FE-II should be professional, customer-focused and able to work in a diverse and dynamic environment. The FE-II must be able to use time and resources effectively and efficiently, have excellent interpersonal skills, organizational and project management skills, and embrace a continuous improvement culture
Essential Functions
- Performs scheduled inspections of assigned facilities and grounds to identify necessary repairs and/or areas of concern.
- Assists with oversight and management of vendors performing maintenance & repair activities. This is inclusive of QA/QC inspections of performed services.
- Assists with source selection process of key vendor services.
- Performs preventative maintenance and repairs tasks as assigned.
- Travel from time to time, as needed and required to support ongoing maintenance and repairs needs. This includes overnight stays.
- Completes assigned tasks in conformance with all Weisiger Group Safety policies, guidelines, and in a manner that is consistent with general safety standards. Such activities “may” include use of safety glasses, gloves, proper LOTO (Lock-Out/Tag-Out) procedures and use of dust mask or respirators.
- Ability to read and interpret MEP drawings.
- Completes all periodic safety training and/or refresher courses as required.
- Immediately reports any identified unsafe acts or conditions.
- Assists with annual Budget and Capital Improvement planning exercises as requested.
- Effectively manages established processes associated with accounting and financial tracking.
- Provides feedback to Department Manager or Lead for observed areas of improvement.
- Maintains a safe, clean and organized work area.
- Safe use of hand or power tools.
- Maintain an inventory of spare parts based on likely needs.
- Keeps maintenance logs as assigned and required.
- Other duties as assigned.

Education and/or Experience
- Minimum High School Diploma or GED and 5 - 8 years verifiable Facilities/Building Maintenance experience with thorough experience in facility electrical and/or mechanical industry.
- Associate’s degree in related field is preferred.
- Technical License or Certification in HVAC and/or Electrical.
- Project Management Experience
- Must possess a valid driver’s license and have a clean driving record
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- A thorough knowledge of general maintenance procedures along with a skill set that includes proficiencies in some or all the following: plumbing, carpentry, HVAC, electrical/mechanical systems.
