Equipment Operator Journey 1 / 2 to help us Keep Alaska Moving!
Base salary for:
Equipment Operator Journey 1 - $32.32 / Hourly (OT Eligible)
Equipment Operator Journey 2 - $34.18 / Hourly (OT Eligible)
What you will be doing:As an Equipment Operator, you will operate and maintain a variety of equipment to keep Alaska's transportation infrastructure safe and functional year-round. In the winter, you'll perform snow and ice control, snow removal, drainage maintenance, traffic control, and emergency response activities. During the summer, you'll maintain roads, bridges, signs, drainage systems, guardrails, pavement markings, and other roadway assets. You'll also conduct equipment inspections and maintenance, assist with emergency response efforts, participate in safety and technical training, and operate heavy equipment while developing advanced skills in roadway maintenance operations.

Work is performed both indoors and outdoors in a wide range of weather conditions, including extreme cold, snow, wind, and other challenging Alaska conditions.
