At WGU, our mission is to expand access to higher education—and that starts with a secure, professional campus experience. As a Front Desk Coordinator, you’ll be the first point of contact for guests and employees, playing a vital role in both customer service and site security.
The Role: Front Desk Coordinator
The Front Desk Coordinator serves as the face of WGU’s campus, managing visitor check-in, badge issuance, wayfinding, and supporting essential security operations. This role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced setting while upholding safety and compliance standards.
What You’ll Do
- Greet and assist all visitors, vendors, and employees in a courteous, professional manner
- Manage front desk operations, including visitor screening, badge issuance, and access control
- Support security processes such as incident reporting, lost-and-found management, and emergency response
- Coordinate with facilities, security, and building management teams regarding access and safety needs
- Maintain confidentiality, data protection standards, and accurate visitor logs
What You Bring
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional administrative or security training is a plus
- 3+ years of front desk, receptionist, hospitality, or customer service experience
- Experience with Microsoft Office programs (Word, Outlook, Excel)
Bonus if you have
- Experience with ServiceNow or similar ticketing platforms
- Familiarity with customer service best practices and emergency procedures
- Experience with electronic badge access systems, and visitor management software
- Experience in building management systems or corporate security environments
Work Location
This is a full-time, in-office position at WGU’s headquarters in Salt Lake City, UT. You’ll work alongside a multidisciplinary team committed to safety, service, and operational excellence.
