SBC Senior Software Development Engineer

<p>Nokia Cloud and Network Services, IP Telephony Applications R&amp;D team is seeking a highly motivated SBC engineer to address the growing business needs of Nokia Session Border Controller (SBC) product. The SBC offers Service Providers an economical and reliable means to secure and control media and signaling streams. Nokia SBC functions as a component within Containerized Network Function (CNF) platforms, strategically positioned at the edge of access networks. Its role encompasses securing diverse IP accesses and facilitating the delivery of all IMS services. Additionally, it extends support for roaming, IMS interconnection, and corporate SIP trunking scenarios within peering networks.</p><p>We are looking for a Senior Software Developer to become a valued member of our R&amp;D organization. Within our team, you'll collaborate with multinational colleagues in a dynamic R&amp;D environment. </p> <p>Your primary responsibility will be:</p><ul><li>To develop and validate call processing software essential for the functioning of our critical voice core infrastructure. </li><li>Actively participate in the feature design phase alongside system engineers and software architects.</li><li>Ensuring adherence to the highest standards of quality and security. </li><li>You'll be instrumental in providing support, resolving issues, and conducting root cause problem-solving for customer-reported concerns.</li></ul> <p><strong>You Have:</strong></p><ul><li>Strong experience in C and C++ development and testing (minimum 7 years).</li><li>Proficiency in Design patterns, Data structures, Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) &amp; Object-Oriented Design (OOD) concepts, and algorithms, with demonstrated application in a professional software team setting.</li><li>Understanding of IP networking, including protocols, architecture, and troubleshooting network issues.</li><li>Hands-on experience with Linux, scripting languages, and coding (e.g., Python, bash).</li><li>Familiarity with Git for version control.</li><li>Experience with Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines, including tools like Jenkins, GitLab, Gerrit.</li><li>Knowledge of various database solutions such as MariaDB, MySQL, Redis, etc.</li><li>Familiarity with telecom concepts is highly advantageous, particularly in the realm of IP Multimedia Subsystems (IMS) or other embedded systems dealing with real-time applications.</li><li>Knowledge of telecom protocols, especially SIP, Megaco and Diameter, is highly desirable.</li><li>Experience with cloud runtime environments, encompassing both OpenStack and VMWare.</li><li>Knowledge of the Cloud Native Computing Foundation (CNCF), with a focus on Kubernetes, is beneficial.</li></ul><p><strong>It would be nice if you also had:</strong></p><ul><li>Proficiency in agile software development processes, methodologies, and toolsets.</li><li>Commitment to delivering high-quality work.</li><li>Demonstrated aptitude for troubleshooting and resolving issues within intricate technical landscapes.</li><li>Proficiency in English communication.</li><li>Strong interpersonal skills coupled with a dedication to continual learning.</li><li>Ability to work autonomously while also thriving in collaborative team environments.</li></ul> <p></p> <p><b><span>Come create the technology that helps the world act together<br/> </span></b><span><br/> Nokia is committed to innovation and technology leadership across mobile, fixed and cloud networks.
