GDIT Is currently seeking a Unified Endpoint Management Engineer to support our infrastructure services contract with the US Securities and Exchange Commission. Candidates must be US Citizens (without dual citizenship) to obtain the required public trust clearance.
The responsibilities for candidates in this role include, but are not limited to the following:
Performs day-to-day activities required to configure and distribute applications and software
Creation of documentation
Troubleshoots issues related to software distribution and application control
Provides subject matter expertise on issues and tasks related to the distribution of applications and software.
Troubleshoots complex issues and provides incident resolution for all related incidents requiring escalated support or subject matter enterprise with hardware, software, and operating systems within an end user environment
Assist with updating Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) and Work Instruction (WI) documentation for End User Technology (EUT), Service Desk, etc, under the guidance of the Knowledge Management team and program leadership.
Perform assigned tasks independently.
To qualify, you must meet these basic qualifications:
Must have a minimum of 10 years of related experience distributing software and applications within end-user computing environments with 3 years of experience in leading teams
Must have experience and knowledge of Intune or similar UEM platforms
Must have experience with PowerShell or other similar scripting languages
Demonstrated experience and knowledge of the end user consumption lifecycle for software or applications, e.g. software metering, third party patching, etc.
Demonstrated experience and knowledge with change management processes.
Demonstrated experience with application control via Windows Defender Application Control (WDAC) or other leading platforms
Demonstrated experience with Autopilot as it relates to software distribution
Demonstrated experience with update rings
Demonstrated experience or knowledge of software virtualization
Demonstrated experience in developing distribution methods for Commercial Off-The-Shelf (COTS) software and hardware products and solutions.
Extensive experience working within Federal Government environments.
Excellent time management and organizational skills.
Excellent written and oral communication skills, including with key personnel.
Experience in developing and maintaining technical data and documentation.
It would be great if you also had:
Extensive experience with software virtualization with Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) or similar
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems or related field preferred.
Microsoft certifications such as Microsoft 365 Certified: Endpoint Administrator Associate (MD-102), Azure Administrator Associate (AZ-104), Azure Virtual Desktop Specialty (AZ-140, or similar
