The Processing Department is seeking a full-time Senior Technical Assistant to provide access to the Library's collections by processing materials for customer and staff use.
The mission of the St. Louis County Library is to provide the resources and services to enrich individual minds, enhance lives and expand perspectives. SLCL is an award winning library system with branches throughout St. Louis County. We have transformed into a meaningful community resource with branches updated facilities and an array of programs and partnerships that serve over 860,000 patrons.
Salary: $34,027.00
Hours:
Monday – Friday: 7:30 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
Essential Responsibilities:
1. Electronically process materials so that material is available for customer and staff use.
2. Ensures a balance of materials are processed daily.
3. Physically process materials so that material is available for customer and staff use.
4. Distributes completed materials for customer and staff use.
Job Qualifications:
• High School Diploma

Physical and Mental Requirements:
• Ability to lift a minimum of 25 lbs.
• Ability to push a full cart of books or other Library materials
• Ability to keyboard for a minimum of two hours daily
• Ability to complete multiple tasks simultaneously
• Ability to operate various types of Library equipment
• Ability to use a pc, word processing, and e-mail
• Ability to sit for a minimum of 6 hours
