Position Summary

Our Global Investment and Innovation Incentives ("Gi3") practice provides our clients a broad range of government credits and incentives ("C&I") services across more than 150 countries and regions worldwide. With over 1,000 practitioners, the Gi3 tax team is a national team of specialists dedicated to providing comprehensive tax C&I services.

Work you’ll do

NFTS Gi3 DOT NET developer, in the IncentivesHub application team, will be responsible for design, develop, debug, test, deploy and support custom applications and modules that meet business requirements. Candidate will demonstrate a good understanding and working knowledge of the client's business and tax systems, and for meeting client deadlines. 

This role is of a Developer who has expert level knowledge in designing & developing modern web applications using technologies like ASP.net MVC, AngularJS, HTML5 and bootstrap.

• Designing, programming & debugging enterprise class web application using the following technologies and tools:

• ASP.NET MVC

• Dot Net Framework 4.6

• Dot Net Core

• WCF and Web API based REST Web Services

• Angular JS

• Bootstrap

• HTML5, CSS3 and Advanced Java Script

• SQL Server

• Visual Studio 2022

• C# and VB.net

• Designing responsive web-pages using HTML5 and Bootstrap

• Writing unit tests and knowledge of test driven development.

• Writing and understanding complex MS SQL queries

• Working with the tax team to provide application support.

• Working with infrastructure team to administer web applications, services and database.

The Team 

National Federal Tax Services (NFTS) is a national practice within Deloitte Tax LLP made up of several tax service offerings. Each NFTS service offering was developed and built as a result of a tax planning idea, a marketplace requirement, or a technological innovation—all with the purpose of delivering results for our clients. 

The Partnership Solutions Group (PSG) is a service line of NFTS and one of the fastest-growing practice groups in all of Deloitte Tax. PSG professionals counsel privately held and publicly-traded partnerships across the United States on a wide-range of federal tax issues involving mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, initial public offerings, post-offering compliance, and process design and improvement.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Ability to perform job responsibilities within a hybrid work model that requires US Tax Processionals to co-locate in person 2-3 days per week
  • Ability to travel 10% on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science or related field required.
  • 1+ years of experience in software development with working knowledge in analysis, design and development of applications and/or systems using .Net and SQL.
  • Good understanding of design patterns and best practices of developing enterprise web applications
  • Experience of Web page performance optimization
  • Experience of data analytics and BI tools a plus
  • Ability to gather and analyze requirements, produce technical designs, create the application, conduct software testing, implement the software solution and support production issues.
  • Development of application architecture, database design and/or computing platforms is a plus.
  • Ability to perform data intensive tasks and be skilled to organize the data for reporting requirements.
  • Ability to work in a complex deadline-oriented environment.
  • Proficient in using analytical tools and instruments for instance MS Excel, Microsoft Access.
  • One of the following active accreditations obtained, in process, or willing and able to obtain:
    • Licensed CPA in state of practice/primar
