PT Weekend Hospice CNA Dorchester/Wicomico

Coastal Hospice invites you to join a team of caregivers who are committed to promoting dignity and quality of life for patients and families who face life-limiting conditions.  In your role as a weekend home side CNA, you will:

• Provide personal care, assistance with activities of daily living, homemaking and related assistance to patients.
• Provide direct patient care as instructed by a RN and/or physical therapist.
• Provide emotional support to the patient and family which requires effective human relations skills.
• Relieve the primary caregiver for occasional respite.
• Provides1:1 care and other patient/family assistance as assigned.
• Communicate effectively and timely with supervising nurse and other hospice aide

• Current CNA certification in Maryland
• Ability to understand and follow spoken and written instructions
• The ability to lift, push, pull or move patients, equipment, supplies, etc. in excess of 50 pounds with or without the use of adaptive/assistive devices
