About the role

Job Details

We are looking for an outgoing, professional, and experienced pharmacy technician to join our oncology pharmacy team. Located in Willow Grove, PA, in the Philadelphia suburbs, the Asplundh Cancer Pavilion is a member of the Jefferson Health Sidney Kimmel Comprehensive Cancer Center.

This position reports to the Oncology Pharmacy Supervisor, and in conjunction with direct supervision by oncology pharmacists, will assist in the preparation of all medications necessary for the treatment of oncology patients in the Asplundh Cancer Pavilion infusion center and inpatients at Jefferson Abington Hospital.
- Preparation of parenteral medications, including chemotherapy and immunotherapy
- Refill pyxis med stations, restock and order supplies
- Recording environmental readings into Simplifi 797
- Floor stock checks
We have Free parking

Asplundh is open from Monday – Friday, 7am-5pm, with Pharmacy having rotating 8-hr shifts. The pharmacy provides chemotherapy inpatients at Jefferson-Abington Hospital on weekends & holidays if necessary for patient care.

Job Description

Experience:

  • Knowledge and experience in aseptic technique, preparation of chemotherapy and immunotherapy, USP <797>, and USP <800> preferred
  • 1+ years of previous hospital pharmacy technician experience preferred but not required.

Education & Training:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.

License, Certification & Registration:

  • CPhT or student in an accredited pharmacy program required.
