The Opportunity
As the Senior Certified Payroll Accountant, you will have the opportunity to:
- Work as part of a larger Certified Payroll team as the LCPTracker Subject Matter Expert
- Be responsible for set-up, training, and trouble-shooting Certified Payroll and Prevailing Wage reporting in LCPTracker Assist in the preparation of weekly Certified Payroll in a timely and accurate manner in compliance with the US Department of Labor, State, and Local guidelines
- Ensure that Black & Veatch complies with Davis-Bacon and other related Acts
- Have weekly coordination with various Black & Veatch departments to assure prevailing wage requirements are met and accurately reported in LCPTracker #LI-NK1 #LI-Hybrid

Black & Veatch’s Business Enablement consists of critical groups that help enable the organizations people, projects, and businesses to be as successful as possible. Functions in this group include Digital & Information Technology, Global Finance, Global Human Resources, Legal, Risk Management, and Government Affairs and Real Estate and Building Services.
Key Responsibilities
Assist with Certified Payroll
- Assist Certified Payroll Accountants in completing and filing weekly Certified Payroll reports through LCPTracker including Federal form WH-347 and required State and Local forms.
- Project Set-up in LCPTracker
- Provide LCPTracker training and guidance to Certified Payroll team and Subcontractors
- Serve as part of an Advisory team on Certified Payroll and Prevailing Wage to Construction Operations and clients.
- Research reporting documents that must be submitted when performing work on federal, state and locally funded construction projects.
- Coordinate with Human Resources and Construction Field Timekeeping to assure accurate information is provided as it applies to the Recording of Time and Prevailing Wage requirements.
- Close communication with Management
- Work with IT to secure assistance with special reporting needs.
- Work closely with Union Payroll reporting professionals and Field Professionals to assure Work Classifications, Hours worked, Rate of Pay (including fringe benefits), Gross Amounts Earned, and Deductions for Construction Craft are aligned and accurately reported.
- Assure workers are properly classified to receive the “prevailing wage rate” for their Job Classifications
Controls
- Research of filing requirements including forms and guidance
- Works with Human Resources regarding accurate application of Prevailing Wages
Support Functions
- Assists with additional special projects, as assigned

- Payroll team, HR, and Construction team
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting/Finance or equivalent experience
- Typically 4+ years related experience
